RESEARCH THE READINESS OF YOUR AUDIENCE TO TAKE THE ACTION YOU WANT IT TO TAKE.
BECAUSE 99% OF ALL PRESENTATIONS IN ORGANIZATIONS TAKE PLACE DURING SOME KIND OF A MEETING, WE WOULD PREFER TO USE THE WORD STAKEHOLDERS OR CONVERSATIONAL PARTNERS, RATHER THAN AUDIENCE. But since we're all very much used to the word audience and we don't want to confuse you too much, we will use it as well. In this step you will perform a dialogue study. You will map the readiness of your audience to take the action that you want it to take. You ask yourself this question: what does my audience need from me in order to be willing and capable of doing what I want it to do? The outcome of your dialogue study determines the content of your presentation. Watch the video 'What do I need to know from my audience' in order to learn the technique of performing a dialogue study. You will need it in step 2.
